3D foot measuring device – the working principle of the 3D foot scanner

The foot 3D scanner is a high-precision 3D foot measuring device that uses optical, laser or structured light scanning technology to quickly obtain 3D data of the foot, achieving accurate measurement and customized applications.

Optical or laser projection: The device projects laser, infrared light or structured light onto the surface of the foot to form a specific light spot or grid pattern.

Data capture and point cloud generation: The camera or sensor captures the deformation of the light spot, records the coordinate information of the foot surface, and generates high-density point cloud data.

3D model reconstruction: The system processes the point cloud data, builds a complete 3D model of the foot, and calculates key parameters such as foot length, foot width, and arch height.

Data analysis and application: The measurement data can be used for personalized corrective insoles, customized shoe design, gait analysis and medical diagnosis, improving the accuracy and efficiency of foot health management.

Foot 3D scanners are widely used in medical rehabilitation, sports science, footwear customization and other fields due to their non-contact, high-precision and fast measurement characteristics.
