Plantar pressure plates play a very important role in the design of corrective insoles.
The main process is as follows:
1. Collect the plantar pressure distribution data of people through plantar pressure plates.
Plantar pressure plates generally have static measurement, dynamic measurement and balance measurement.
Generally speaking, static measurement is enough for insole design.
The measured data is mainly used to analyze: high-pressure area, low-pressure area, uneven force, arch type (normal, flat foot, high arch), standing posture and gait characteristics.
2. Professional designers formulate correction plans based on the measured data.
Professional designers, based on plantar pressure distribution and biomechanical analysis, professional designers make correction plans, including: insole hardness, cushioning area, support point, additional arch support, orthopedic adjustment of specific areas, etc.

3. 3D modeling and correction design.
The 3D data of the foot can be collected by using a 3D foot scanner, and the 3D data such as ST can be imported into the insole design software. The insole designer can make personalized adjustments and designs in the software according to the established plan.
These include: designing the arch support height and shape, adding arch height, adapting the insole shape to different shoe styles, etc.
4. Produce through a 3D printer or engraving machine.
The 3D insole data designed in the design software is imported into the insole engraving machine or 3D printer for production.
Then polishing and veneer finishing processes are required.
5. The user tries on and adjusts and optimizes.
After trying on, the user makes corresponding adjustments based on the user’s trial feeling to optimize the wearing comfort and correction effect.
