The plantar pressure plate is mainly used to measure the force applied to various parts of the sole of the foot when the sole of the foot contacts the plantar pressure plate when the person is standing still or walking on it.
The principle is: by placing a high-density pressure sensor matrix inside the plantar pressure plate, when the sole of the person’s foot contacts the pressure plate, the pressure sensor can detect the pressure of various parts of the sole of the foot in real time, and convert these data into signals and transmit them to the computer, and display them in the form of a chart through software.
Plantar pressure distribution system
Common application scenarios of plantar pressure plates:

- Used in foot diagnosis, such as judging flat feet, high arches, inversion, eversion and diabetes by measuring plantar pressure.
- Used in the evaluation of gait and posture to assist in the design and production of personalized corrective insoles and corrective shoes.
- Used in the monitoring of postoperative rehabilitation, tracking the patient’s postoperative rehabilitation, so that doctors can adjust the training plan in time.
- Evaluate the pressure effects of different sports shoes on the feet, continuously design and develop more scientific shoes, and improve the user’s experience and comfort of wearing shoes.
- Apply to physiological research, such as strictly studying the distribution of plantar pressure when walking, running and standing still, to provide data support for ergonomic research.
- Apply to analyze the stability of the elderly’s gait and assess the risk of falls for the elderly.
