Today, let’s walk you through how to use this fancy yet practical “3D Foot Scanner.”
1. Power On – Don’t Step Up Too Soon!
First, make sure the power is plugged in. Once the machine is powered on and the screen lights up, it’s ready. Most machines will automatically enter the “standby scan” screen when turned on. At this point, don’t fiddle with it — it’s already waiting for you to “step on.”
If nothing happens, tap the “Start Scan” button, or follow the instructions and tap “Foot Scan” on the screen — just like using a smartphone, give it a tap.
2. Take Off Shoes and Socks – Barefoot Only
Be sure to remove your shoes and socks! Some people feel shy, but this machine only recognizes bare feet. If you wear socks, it might not scan correctly, and the data will be off.
Once you’re ready, place both feet directly onto the scanning plate. There’s usually a guide or foot outline showing left and right — just align accordingly. Stand in a natural position. Don’t move! Don’t jump! Don’t shake your legs!
Some high-end machines may ask you to stand on one foot or turn around — just follow the prompts. It will guide you step-by-step, no need to worry.

3. Start Scanning – Don’t Be Nervous!
After standing properly, tap the “Start Scan” button. The scanning usually takes 5–10 seconds. Don’t move! You’ll see light sweeping under the machine — it’s like taking an X-ray, painless and tickle-free. Don’t assume it’s malfunctioning.
Some machines may have voice prompts like “Please stand still.” Just follow them.
4. Scan Complete – Check Your Results!
Once the scan is done, the system will automatically generate a 3D foot report, which includes your foot length, width, arch height, foot type (such as pigeon-toed, flat feet, O-shaped feet, etc.), and other information.
No need to understand every detail — there are visuals and 3D models. A store assistant or staff member can quickly tell what kind of shoes suit you.
Some stores even have smart shoe-matching systems that will directly recommend suitable shoes, including the correct size. Super thoughtful!
5. Common Questions & Quick Tips
Scan inaccurate? Most likely you didn’t remove your socks or didn’t stand properly.
No results? Might be due to network lag or machine restarting — wait a bit or ask staff for help.
Want to rescan? Tap “Rescan” or exit and re-enter — don’t worry about pressing the wrong button.
