Customized insole instrument – application of foot 3D scanner

    In the past, custom insoles were made according to the traditional measurement method, which was not so accurate and time-consuming. The insoles produced were not so good.

    But now, with the foot 3D scanner, the whole process is much faster and has the following advantages.

    1. The plantar scanner measures the foot, and the data is more accurate, with an accuracy of about 0.5mm.

    2. It is faster. The traditional measurement method requires step-by-step measurement. It may take more than ten minutes or even more than half an hour to measure multiple data, while the plantar 3D scanner only takes tens of seconds to measure the foot information.

    3. The plantar 3D scanner not only measures more than 20 sets of data, including the length, width and arch height of the foot, but also generates a 3D model of the foot. The generated stl data can be directly imported into the insole design software for personalized design.

    The process of making insoles with a plantar 3D scanner:

    1. First use the plantar scanner to measure the foot information, which can generally be completed in tens of seconds.

    2. Import the generated stl data into the insole design software and make personalized designs according to customer needs.

    3. Import the designed data into the 3D printer or engraving machine to make the insole.

    4. Perform veneer and polishing, and then deliver the insole to the customer by express or other means.
